All,

I wonder if more of you have noticed this phenomena: one of your applications gets approved, but the approval doesn't show up on the online case status system.

My AP was approved on Sept 17, 2007 and mailed out to my attorney who got it in a few days and told me about yesterday when I emailed about another issue. Oddly enough, even today (Sept 27), the online case status system shows an LUD of Sept 14 but no approval. I didn't get the usual approval email from the case status system either.

Annoying -- since now I won't learn of new developments till my lawyer calls me up to let me know and you know what slackers they can be. Although all this may be moot since apparently I am stuck waiting for my name check to clear, so there won't be any new developments to look look forward to for a long long time. Sigh. :(

I asked my attorney if we could anything about the delay in the issuance of EAD. My attorney mentioned that she would send an e-mail to USCIS. Is there an e-mail id that attorneys use to contact USCIS ? Offcourse, I could have asked my attorney, but I thought I would post the question here first.

:confused: I got very anxious when my co lawyer told me that I got a query from INS.

I recently transfered my H1 to current employer and started working for him. Even I got receipt number. When I last tracked the number in INS web site it says mail has been sent out asking for more information.

Company lawyer told me to produce all my paystubs ever since I started to work in US.

I am wondering will this cause any issue. Is this a normal procedure ?

Please help me, if any has any kind of information. Please share with me. My Id madhyastha@yahoo.com

Opponents of Arizona's SB1070 immigration law scored another victory in the courts yesterday. In the case of Friendly House v. Whiting, the court overruled a motion to dismiss the case challenging the law. The judge noted that "Racial discrimination was a motivating factor for [S.B.] 1070�s enactment" which establishes a legitimate constitutional challenge to the law. The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City has suspended processing of the approximately 5100 non-immigrant visa appointments scheduled Monday, April 27 through Wednesday, April 29. In the US, All USCIS offices remain open for business. Applicants should plan to attend all previously scheduled appointments, interviews and ceremonies unless they are feeling ill. It seems that re scheduling due to illness is a perfectly acceptable reason.

There are no reports of problems to enter the US from Mexico, no refusals due to Swine Flu issues as of now. But this may well change as the issue develops.

Hello Guru�s

I am currently on F1 and will be graduating in December 2007. In August filed I485/EAD/AP through spouse. Now I am planning to change my status from F1 to H4 to maintain the status till I485 is approved.
1. I want to know will my COS from F1 to H4 affect my 485 application as I haven�t received the receipt notice yet.
2. Should I apply for H4 right away or wait until I receive I485 receipt notice and EAD card?
3. How long does it take to get H4 approval?
4. How long, before I graduate should I apply for H4?
5. Is it a good idea to change to H4?

How long they will take time to decide the case?
