Have you seen the pictures in Nilay Patel's article about the suit (http://thisismynext.com/2011/04/19/apple-sues-samsung-analysis/)? They copied the look of the iPhone, exactly. Hell, they even copied some of the icons -- the Phone icon, the iTunes icon. Why would they make the phone icon a white handset angled up and to the right on a green background if they weren't deliberately trying to make it look like an iPhone?
If you're Apple, you absolutely have to sue over this. Otherwise you're saying, okay, anybody who wants to can just make a clone that looks exactly like the iPhone. Anyone who owns a valuable brand has to defend it.

The green angled phone icon!? The angled phone has been standard for phones since forever, it was usually the phone itself that was green, the only thing Apple did was making the background green instead. Very generic. Even the standard position for it, the lower left corner, is simply because that's where a phone answer button is normally located.
Chat icon? The only likeness I can see is that it uses a speech bubble, which have been a norm for IM applications since long before Apple introduced iChat. Note that Samsung added a smiley-face.
Nature images and particularly flowers have been a popular motif for photography-related stuff. Camera makers have been using it since the advent of photography.
Gearwheels for settings and configuration? Everyone have been using it since the birth of the GUI
Notes and contacts, both trying to look like their real world counterparts, extremely generic
A music and media related app having a musical note in it's icon, you think Apple came up with that and everyone else just followed? Come on
Look, Windows Media Player stole iTunes "look and feel", and method of starting playback of media content, sue em' Apple!

A sure way to tell when a technology is running out of steam and nearing saturation is when the big new thing is a different colored case. Just look at Dell laptops or the iPod line. Not a good sign from Apple.

I definitely don't like the new look! I agree with other people who said it looks corny. I mean it works on the iPad, but everything isn't an iPad!;)

Record-breaking quarters and the position as the trend-setter in consumer tech.
These legal skirmishes haven't and won't result in any major untoward changes to Apple products. We all know this already.

Update: According to a picture of a preliminary product manual obtained by AppleInsider (http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1909), the new wireless Mighty Mouse will use Laser tracking in place of the Optical tracking system the current USB Mighty Mouse uses. Laser-based mice typically are more accurate and less prone to errors on extremely smooth surfaces.

It's not really outdated in the sense that it is still the best and latest iPhone out there. But I know what you are getting at.
Well I think I would be an unwise consumer to pay full upgrade price for old tech. If there is no iPhone in June, I might give Apple a little time to tell all of us whose contracts are up what their plan is, but I doubt I'm going to be willing to hold onto an old phone long enough to see what Apple has in store. At that point I'll give serious consideration to another platform, but I'll resist it as much as possible because I do enjoy Apple hardware. I will not, however, tolerate horrible update cycles and pay full price for them. If that's going to be Apple's game, I won't be playing.

iOS 5 at WWDC and new iPhone hardware at an apple special event in September. You heard it here first.
Shocking as this may sound, WWDC was not designed as a stage to release iPhone updates. WWDC is a DEVELOPER conference...not a release party.
If anything it should be Mac centric as without the Mac the iPhone wouldn't exist.

Apple has great products, but we are going to be experiencing more than a recession. Donald Trump stated that what was going to happen in North America is going to make Russia look like a picnic during world war 2. The CEO of Wall-Street stated two years ago that there will be a world economic crash worse than what happened during the 1930's due to the amount of debt. The European Union Banks stated 1.5 years ago that they were preparing their banks for a world economic collapse. Unfortunately most of us are living the status quo and do not want to acknowledge that our way of life is going to drastically change. Unfortunately even a company as great as Apple will not be able to retain the level of what the stocks are worth even at todays low. My advice is pay of your debts... sell your stocks while you still have money, sell your home and then when the collapse occurs then invest.

Mmm .. no. The reason you don't see it much is because XP SP2 is pretty rock solid as far as operating systems go.
Well, it is better than previous versions of windows. Both are reasons you don't see it as much.
My pc used to crash fairly often, and it was often when it was just sitting there and I wasn't even using it. Based on the number of times it happened when I was around, I can only imagine how many times it happened and I was unaware.

I'm hoping for cash for my i7 build for Christmas,I'm saving now and really want a better computer,but Mac is not coming anytime soon,then it hit me,I'm building a i7 pc of equal specs to a Mac Pro,it's hackintosh time!!
